MEEKS BAY

Meeks Bay is a great open water site!  Easy parking, extremely friendly campground hosts, bathrooms, and excellent dive conditions are highlights of this site.  Dive to the right where the slope is more gradual and where there are a number of rock outcroppings to explore.  Avoid the left hand side as there may be a number of boats coming and going from the marina. 

Directions: Highway 89 approximately 12 miles from the 'Y' or 10 miles from Tahoe City.  Make sure to enter at the campground, which is located closest to the fire station, rather than the resort.  Drive past the campground to the gate.  There is a $5 park fee.  Pull all the way around and park near the restrooms.
